"It was nice to talk with you the other evening. I enjoyed
thinking back on the Mattesons, Cicily Hajek, Karina (Panorama
Karina Moro), Mary (Lou's Mary Star), and Jet (Silhouette).
It's pretty hard to capture many yrs in a few short musings. I
was also thinking how much my horse activities have changed
through the yrs. I have appreciated what each of my Morgans
brought to my life. The ones in the backyard today are as dear
to me as the others have been. We just have a different focus
these days.
I jotted
down the Morgans I've been fortunate to have spent time with. We
didn't have "a herd" at any one time, but over time, a herd has
come through. While we didn't get into breeding as my husband
had already been down that road with Quarter Horses before we
met and was not interested in doing it again, I enjoyed working
with a young horse and we brought some along.
It started with Panorama Karina Moro, followed by: Delmaytion
Sean Boy, Hillwood Corlect, Jaehawk of Tarron, Westwind Ezekiel
(a 3/4 Morgan by the Hopson's stallion, Zipo and out of a mare
that was said to be a daughter of UVM Enchantor), Delmaytion R
Rose, Catchfire, DaVinci's Bo Dancer, briefly entrusted w/
Del-View Easter Moro upon the passing of a friend & until we
made the fortunate connection with a previous owner of his,
Divot Hill Ace, Winbrook Teatime, B-L If I Had Wings, Sugarlane
Dominique, Tarron Rockette, Triple S Wings to Fly. The last 3
are in residence today.
Winbrook Teatime was my only attempt to enter the realm of
breeding. While it didn't work out, the universe has a way of
working things out. Ultimately, Karen made it possible for me to
purchase Rockette, who was by Homeward Middlebury, the stallion
I'd sent Teatime to. "
