Ledgewood Rocket was one of Pete Hess's breedings, foaled in 1952 and out of Janee x Pecos. 
In 1953 Gordy met Pete and was instantly attracted to "Rocky" and purchased him from Pete.

"Rocky" was a stallion when with Gordy, but after a bit they sold him and he was gelded in 1957. 
Rebecca Slossen, his next owner went on to successfully show him.
