As a youth, Jerry and his brother Bob spent time at Indian Springs Farm in Baldwinsville, NY - the home of Cornwallis.  They would travel from their home in Camillus and admire the fine Morgans. Allen's Major (Nubbin x Cornwallis) was just a weanling in 1943 when Jerry's father Bill Ashby partnered with son Bob and George Merritt to purchase this upheaded foal for $600.00  Follow this link to view actual footage of Mrs. Allen lunging what we believe to be a very young Allen's Major.
