NYSMHS CENTRAL NY SHOW UPDATE
This year, due to circumstances beyond the control of the committee, the
CNY show will run as an unrated show. Rather than view this as a
negative, we are choosing to see the positive aspects of being unrated
and forge ahead with the best show we can offer our members and
exhibitors. For those of you who compete for the NYSMHS year-end awards
the CNY show will remain counted as an A rated for the purpose of High
Score.
We are very excited to have Chris Cassenti as our 2012 judge. Chris will
also be conducting a clinic open to all on Friday night, so come early,
saddle up and be the beneficiary of Chris’ wit and wisdom! We think this
offering will set our exhibitors up for a rewarding and successful show.
The clinic will run from 7:00 to 8:30 followed by a Welcome Pizza Party
for all sponsored by Vince, Laurie and Rebecca Knoll.
The Schedule has been modified to be more inclusive while still Amateur
& family focused. Amateur owned and trained classes have returned to the
schedule along with Limit Rider classes. Always a favorite of past
shows, we have brought back the Saturday Night Versatility Challenge,
with a $175 Purse!
The $100 Championship Classes remain.
The Elmira EconoLodge will again act as our Official Hotel and will
reserve a block of rooms at a special rate. Tracey Kelsey returns as our
official photographer and offers on sight printing of her work with no
copyright restrictions. Mojo’s Tacos will return as the food vendor and
Perry Veterinary Clinic will be on hand to see to the needs of our
precious Morgans. Patti Waring will be joining us to keep the office
running smoothly and we thank her for her commitment to us and all she
does on behalf of the NYSMHS. With Joe Virgo directing center ring and
Mike Chase as our Farrier our team is in place and ready to put on a
show! The Exhibitors party will be held again under the pavilion.
Our thanks to all who supported us in 2011 for what was a very enjoyable
and successful event, we’re looking forward to seeing you in Horseheads
the weekend of June, 9-10, 2012.
