This will mark the NYS Eastern District Morgan Horse Show’s 38th
year. Being as it is an Open Show there are classes for Morgans as well
as Saddlebreds, Gaited horses, Western, Hunt Seat and Miniature Horses.
Added into this nice mix of classes are some Fence as well as Trail
classes.
The Judge for this year will be Joshua Merritt of Vernon, VT. The show
starts Friday afternoon at 4 pm and goes through Sunday afternoon.
A hallmark of The Eastern District Show is its offering of classes for
the Lead Line/Academy/Beginner/and Walk/Trot/Jog Riders! In addition, at
3 pm on Friday the 6th any interested youth are invited to gather and
participate in THE JUDGING FROM THE RAIL activity that takes place
during the Friday evening classes. Clinician Barbara Irving will return
to run this event. No experience is needed and oral reasons are not
required. Come and join the fun! Ribbons and prizes are awarded.
Attention: Judging From The Rail is now open to
ADULTS as well as youth! Join us ring side Friday Afternoon, August 6th
at 3pm to meet with clinician Barbara Irvine and Judge Merritt. No oral
reasons!!! You will judge Friday night from the rail 3 classes. Upon
completion of the classes that night Judge Merritt will review his
placings and reasons. Please join us for lots of fun.
