Year End Meeting

UPDATE! The meeting date has changed from Saturday Dec 4th to Sunday December 5th.

This year's Year End meeting will be held on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Location will be the Embassy Suites East Syracuse/Carrier Circle. Location is 6646 Old Collamer Road S, East Syracuse NY 13057. Phone is 315.446.3200.

The Year End GENERAL Membership meeting is a critical meeting for everyone to attend, with the election of officers, review of the past year and plans for the next year on the agenda.  This is your Club and both your support and participation are required to keep us a strong and vibrant organization.

December 5thth will be a busy day but it is also a great day for our new members to get to know fellow NYSMHS members. After the meeting, we plan on having snacks or pizza so we can have a chance to catch up with friends and their doings.

Due to Covid, we cannot hold a banquet this year. Hotels are not offering any food service for many reasons including a lack of personnel. Dressage and Western Dressage winners will be recognized at the Year End meeting. Ribbons and Awards will be mailed to winners.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Year End High Point Program

As everyone knows, Covid has affected show schedules throughout NY State. There were only two USEF rated shows in all of New York. Because Dressage and Western Dressage shows are typically shown outdoors - their show schedules were less affected, offering an almost complete schedule. Due to these two conditions, the High Point Program needs to be modified for 2021.

Dressage and Western Dressage will take place as normal with no changes or modifications. Entries need to be sent to Christine Sackett and post-marked by November 7th. The Dressage entry sheet is available at this link. Dressage and Western Dressage winners will be recognized at the Year End meeting. Ribbons and Awards will be mailed to winners.

The High Point program for the other categories has been cancelled for 2021 due to lack of showing opportunities in NY State. We will modify the 2022 program so a competitor can submit either points earned from 2021 OR 2022. Points must be from a single season. This will allow 2021 retiring horses along with graduating Jr. Exhibitors, Walk/Trot Riders and Jr. Horses to compete in these categories, if desired.
